A hilarious ode to moms and the way they have shaped the work of some of comedy's biggest stars.

Losing Your Mother traces a walk the filmmaker took through Mumbai, India in 2023—the same city in which her Nanabapa (grandfather) studied shortly before emigrating from India to the UK a decade after Indian partition in 1947. Gradually, the filmmaker’s images of the city become testament to the gulf between her Nanbapa’s life and her own, as her attempts to align his memories with the spaces she encounters are repeatedly frustrated. Blending narrative, archival footage and objects with home videos shot by the filmmaker’s mother, the film becomes an attempt to negotiate the gaps and fractures which emerge out of displacement, diaspora and generational trauma.

A young photographer moves back in with his mother and has to adjust to his old hometown. Things get more challenging when she appoints him as her dating coach in order to spend more time together.

Johnna's dad changed the world. Or so he says. Whilst Johnna and her dad are talking, they can't seem to connect, each growing more and more frustrated with one another, revolving around one another in their own orbits.

Comic Andrea Rosen is a first-time mom who has a lot to learn about kids. She decides that the best way to learn how to raise a child is by asking for other mothers' advice. She travels across the country, taking to the streets and posing questions to women of different cultures and backgrounds about raising a responsible, caring child. Each episode focuses on a specific topic that helps her with one aspect of parenthood. To paraphrase Rosen, her ultimate goal is not to raise a jerk.

In 1950s Naples, a couple struggles to be together against the will of the mother-in-law. In the end, not only will they be together, but the mother-in-law-to-be, a widow, finds love as well.

An overprotective single mother tries to stop her son joining the parachute unit by sending him to the college, fearful that he may end up his life like his father did. He secretly leaves the college and joins the army, but the mother finds out and makes a bet with him that if she passes the basic training, he will leave the unit.

Nazlı is a poor, single and young mother who lives with her son Memo. Memo's powerful and rich uncle Demir takes action when he learns that his deceased brother has a son. When he finds out about Nazlı's profession, he starts a big war to get Memo. Nazlı, who finds herself in this struggle, has a bigger secret.

Your Mother Wouldn't Like It was a children's sketch show broadcast on ITV between 1985 and 1988. A unique aspect of the show was that the performing cast were almost entirely children.The show was produced by Central Television at their Lenton Lane studios in Nottingham. The children used on the show were part of the Central Junior Television Workshop, an initiative founded by Central Television. The show won a BAFTA award but has never been issued on DVD or VHS tape release.
